Statement
11-2009 This series of paintings, "Dwellers," is composed of creatures and objects drawn from dreams, both of the night and of the day, which co-exist in some particular internal world, part intuitive and part planned. In the work I address the dialectic of the representational versus the abstract, obsessions with a particular form or line, and the aesthetics of archaeology and cultural anthropology.
